This is London Road North, on the plaza in front to McDonalds and Weatherspoon's. The McDonalds building replaced the Suffolk Hotel. The Tuttle's (Weatherspoon's) building is still the same. The HSBC branch used to have some nice period details and a turret, but were sadly "improved". It's amazing how well the old Victorian buildings weathered and how badly the slick plastic and aluminum facades age.
