My dear,
Kitty hope you are having a quite [sic] time like myself. But my time is getting very short for worse luck, but still all good things must come to an end. How is Mamie. Do write me a line. Trusting you are well as I am. Till Saturday,
am ever,
your Lizzie (pet)
Caption: Lowestoft War Memorial
This appears to be the dedication. After WW1, every town dedicated a memorial to its war casualties and Lowestoft was no different. A campaign to erect monuments was conducted by the author Rudyard Kipling, who lost his son in the war.
