Caption: Hydroplane Lowestoft

Another photo of this plane is at L0337.

Back of card isn't a commercial card. Looks to be a contact print on a generic post card piece of paper. This was probably the Short S.41 Hydroplane based in Felixstowe. There were only three made in total and only one S.41. The other two planes were built later and had kingposts sticking up from the ends of the top wing. This one does not. The hydroplanes based in Gr. Yarmouth but were the later model. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_S.41 Probably taken between 1913 and 1915 (bases closed in June 1915).
