This is a rare example of a cinema movie camera that photographers converted to take street photos. I've never seen another like this from the Lowestoft street photographers because they wouldn't give one of these out to a customer to keep. The customer would choose one of the photos to keep. I assume he would chose the most attractive photo, but you never know. Some people are masochists.

The background looks to be London Road South in Kirkley. Since we can see tram tracks, it was taken after 1903. The woman in the cloche hat in the background puts this firmly in the 1920's. By looking with my loupe I can see a sign saying "Poll Chemist" and another saying "Madame Geroue"
