Hope you have had some good news & I hope you are well. We are sat getting plenty of Sea breeze. I feel better all ready. It is warm but windy, it rained last night, but we still went out & got our chips & fish.

This is 1965 and the Great British Seaside was fast fading. Compare this rather empty beach with the throngs that over it in earlier eras. You don't see any vendors, photographers, donkeys or any other street retailers that follow the crowds, so I don't think this photo is unusually barren. Lack of trade has driven away the vendors.
