Caption: The Hotel from the Esplanade

This is the Victoria Hotel. You can see that in 1950 the back garden (the Esplanade side) was quite a bit different from today. Today the garden is sunken and you can walk out of the basement area to the garden. The fence on the Esplanade is now a brick wall.
