Thank you for your nice little letter, also mummy's. Am sitting on the seat here on front and it is really hot, although it is only 9:15am. The camp is lovely, and I think you would like it here. No noisy ones, and some really lovely babies.

Here is a typical, post-war working class holiday camp. It looks a bit dreary to our modern eyes, but at the time it was the height of comfort and privacy. I love the carefully posed photo, with the bathing beauties marching in lockstep watched by "campers" sitting all squashed together on the benches.
