I love this photo. It's so hard to find photographs for normal working people who are posing for themselves and not as curiosities for the leisure class. The registration LT495 was used for the "Thistle" between 1904 and 1932. I would place this photo at the 1904 end.
The name "Thistle" is also registed under LT153, about 1888.
