This is a lovely house built in the Arts & Crafts style. It's newly built and the Father is planting his first hedges. If you look, there isn't a tree to be seen and the house is sitting in the middle of a large field. I looked up Sand Lane and I wasn't able to find this house, although there was no bomb damage there, so it's entirely possible it still exists. The house should be distinctive as the neighbourhood now is full of small 1970's bungalows. The area is now covered with trees and high bushes, so this house might be hiding behind some foliage.

The companion photo I have (Card L0551) shows the same house, but a year later.
