Sailing Trawlers
Year by year the tendency has been for the sailing trawler to drop out of the fishing industry, a decline which has gone parallel with the increasing employment of the more powerful and efficient steam trawler. This photograph, taken in Lowestoft Harbour, shows some of the modern sailing trawlers, which are equipped with auxilliary motors - an addition which may for some time delay the final extinction of this class of vessel.
