Mr. Edgar's Photographic Studio
Today this storefront is unoccupied, but back in 1916 it was the location of the respectable photographic studio of Edgar & Co. During the bombardment of 25 April, 1916, this building took a direct hit.
Poor Mr. Edgar.
When the bombardment happened most of the other established photographers in town grabbed their cameras and ran to record what would be one of the defining momements of their lives. You have to wonder what they were thinking as they arrived to this spot and photographed Mr. Edgar's studio. "There but for the Grace of God go I...".
Luckily no one was hurt as the studio hadn't opened yet. Mr. Edgar did rebuild and reopened up his studio for business after the war.
