This man has serious credentials to be rated to captain a ship from 900 tons...and up. Notice that the last year he registered a ship he was 60 years old and he started this page when he was 50. I would hazard a guess he was the captain of very large international ships before he "retired" to Lowestoft and captained these smaller vessels.
