John Masterson born in 1737 of Lowestoft, licensed 26th June 1779 for the North Channel- & is acquainted as far as Yarmouth: has had Charge of King's Frigates & Merch. Ships of 600 Tons.

I wonder if there are any records on this man in naval archives. He's rated to go all the way to Greenland, which part of the Lowestoft fleet did at this time.
