The corner is the path between Kensington Gardens (where the shed is in the photo) and the present primary school. The large building in the front of the photo is the Empire Hotel/St. Luke's Hospital. You can just see the roof of St. Mary's Convent over the trees and then some houses and then (as the sender of the card notes) the Victoria Mansions Hotel.
