Adding an Event
The Rules
- The event must be legal.
- The event must be open to the public. No private clubs, parties, or exclusionary events will be added to this calendar, except for closed-door governmental meetings who's existance is good for the public to know about.
- You must submit a all information (who, what, where, when, why, how to get there, dress code (if any), cost, and any descriptive information.) Incomplete submissions won't be published because they are unhelpful to the public and cause more confusion than they solve.
- All submitted information must have a point of contact- that is, a human being that can be reached, preferably by email, if there are any questions. Telephone numbers will not be published unless they are part of the information you want published.
- Get your submissions in as soon as you decide on your event.
- Normal, professional retail events will not be added. Store sales will not be added. Single yard or garage sales will not be added; however, street sales and flea markets or group sales events will be. This site reserves the right to make the determination of the suitability of the sale for this calendar.
- The owners and managers of this site reserve the right to refuse any submission, without explanation. We reserve the right to remove any submission after it has been published, without notice or explanation.
- This site makes no guarantees or promises to that accuracy of the information posted. What is posted here is for your information only. Cancellations, changes in venue, changes in cost, quality of the event...anything like that is out of our hands and we hold no responsiblity for any disappointments, typos, or the vagueries of human nature or the weather.

The Checklist!
Never assume people know what you know in your head. Your head is a mysterious place. Don't say "The Community Rooms at St. John's Church", say exactly where the church is- to include the street address, which entrance to go in to and where the Community Room is. Don't forget the time! I find that half the events I run across don't have time they're going to start. If you want new people to come to your event, then remember they don't know what you know....they're new!
Get your submissions in early. People plan their weekends at least 5 days in advance and often weeks in advance. Publishing a notice of your event the day before does no good.
- Who?- Who are you? What is the name of your club or organization?
- What?- What is the name of your event?
- Description?- Describe your event. Is it a meeting? A fun-run? A car-boot sale?
- When?- Date and time of your event, to include closing times.
- Where?- Exact location of your event, to include room number.
- What?- What is going to happen at your event. Run in big circles? Buy and sell used items? Meeting to take over the world?
- How Much?- What is the cost? Free to enter? Tickets at the door?
- Your Website?- We will link to your website or Facebook page if you include a complete URL address.
- Contact Information?- If someone has questions do you have a person to contact or an email address? I recommend an email or webpage instead of a telephone number.
- Any other Information?- Any other information that will help the public attend your event. Food for sale, alchoholic drinks allowed or not, parking, suggested dress, disability access, etc.
