You will be pleased to hear that Ernie is home on leave came all week reccy- for three weeks- unless recalled- I have wrote to dad to come, too. We are all well.

I wonder if Ernie was the same Ernest in k0129?. Probably not, but it would be nice to think so.

This card was written 3 weeks after the Bombardment. Can you imagine the tension in Lowestoft, especially amongst those who had relatives in the military?
