James S. Cornaby

James S. Cornaby (J. S.) had a short-lived studio at 19 Albert Place in Kirkley. On the back of his cartes vistas it says "19 Albert Place, Near Marine Parade". He was listed in White's Suffolk Directory in 1874 as 19 London Road South, Lowestoft.

At an unknown date, probably not long after 1874, he turned over the studio to George Croughton and you'll see uses some crossed out Cornaby information on the backs of Croughton's early photos (see K0355).

He also worked in the seaside resort of Llandudno, Wales where in 1868 he is listed as having a studio on North Parade.
