The technical quality of the photographs I have is very poor and often caught his subjects at awkward times. It doesn't seem as if he was in the business very long. Unlike other local photographers, he was fond of elaborately drawn backgrounds, which were getting a bit dated. But then, they were seaside snaps and it looks as if the subjects just wandered in his studio looking for a cheap and cheerful souvenir.
